DinePlenty

DinePlenty for restaurants

New guests at your early and late tables.

We bring new guests through your door to try your food at your opening and closing seatings. You pay nothing: no commission, no fees, no contract. You pick the nights, the tables and the times.

  • New guests who become regulars

Our diners come to try somewhere new. Win them over at an Early Table or Late Table and they come back, at any hour.

  • Busy from first seating to last

We bring diners who want exactly your earliest and latest times, to help fill your first and last seatings.

  • No cost to you

No commission, no sign-up fee, no contract. Diners pay us a small booking fee; you give 50% off food. Drinks stay full price.

  • You're in control

Pick the nights, the tables and the times. Close a date, add a table, set conditions like a drink per person, or pause any time.

  • Your guests, your relationship

They book through us and dine with you. They pay you directly at the table, and you keep your whole bill.

  • We set it up with you

Our team builds your listing with you, then sends it to you to check. We aim to have you taking bookings within days.

People who haven’t eaten with you yet

We bring you first-time guests, and every visit makes the next one more likely. Research from Johnson & Wales University’s College of Hospitality found that about 30% of first-time guests come back for a second visit, and once they have been twice, about 40% return again.

An Early Table or Late Table is the easiest way to get someone through your door for that first visit. Your food and service do the rest.

How it works for you

  1. Tell us about your restaurant. Our team sets up your listing with you and sends it to you to check.
  2. Choose your Early Table and Late Table times for each day and meal you want to offer them (dinner, lunch or breakfast). One table per slot is enough.
  3. Hold those tables in your own reservation system as “DinePlenty”, so they’re never double-booked.
  4. Each booking comes to you by text and email and shows up in your portal. Tap Confirm so we know the table is held.
  5. When you bring the check to the table, take 50% off the food. Each diner also has a booking code, if you’d like to double-check it’s the right guest.
  6. Let us know how it’s going. We’ll work with you to bring more diners and happy guests through your door.

Questions from restaurants

What does DinePlenty cost?

Nothing. There's no commission, no sign-up fee, no contract and no minimum term.

How does the money work?

The diner pays us a small booking fee when they book. At the table, they pay you directly, and you keep your whole bill: 50% off food, drinks at full price. Nothing passes through us, so there's no payout to wait for and nothing deducted from your takings.

Why offer half off food?

It brings people who haven't eaten with you before through your door at your opening and closing seatings, and gives them a reason to come back as regulars. Drinks stay full price, and every diner is asked to tip on the full, pre-discount amount.

What's the minimum I have to offer?

One table per slot you offer, on the nights you choose. You pick the nights and whether to offer an Early Table, a Late Table or both, and you can block out any date.

How will we know about bookings?

Every booking comes to you instantly by text and email, with the guest's name, party size, time, mobile number and booking code, and shows up in your portal. Tap Confirm in the text, the email or the portal so we know the table is held; if a booking isn't confirmed, we'll call you. You also get the day's list at the hour you choose, and can print it for the host stand.

Does it work with OpenTable, Resy or SevenRooms?

Yes, alongside them. When you join, block the tables you offer us in your system as a "DinePlenty" hold, so they're never double-booked; when a booking comes in, put the guest's name on it.

What conditions can I set?

You can exclude specific menu items, require each diner to order a drink, require a minimum number of courses, note your own deposit or no-show charge, narrow party sizes, raise the booking cutoff above 30 minutes and ask diners for dietary requirements. Every condition is shown to the diner before they pay.

How quickly can we go live?

Usually within a few days. Tell us about your restaurant and our team sets up your listing with you: your tables, conditions and a few photos. We send it to you to check, and once you submit it we switch it on.

How do I leave?

Give us 30 days' notice. There's no contract and no exit fee.

What happens to bookings if I pause, block a date or leave?

Existing bookings are always honored. Pausing, blocking a date, cutting capacity or leaving never cancels a booking silently. If you truly can't host a table, you cancel it yourself, and the diner receives full credit plus a $5 apology credit from us.

Can I rate diners?

Yes. After each booking you can rate the diner Fantastic, Fine, Terrible or No-show. A Terrible rating asks for a short note and removes that diner from your marketing list. Three no-shows in 12 months pauses a diner's account.

Who sees diner reviews?

Diners can review publicly, which counts toward your rating, or privately, which only you and our team can see. You can reply to either kind. Private reviews are often the most useful feedback you'll get.

What if a diner is late?

Diners must arrive within 15 minutes of their booking. If they're later than that, the offer is void and you can mark the booking as a No-show with the reason "late".

What is Connected Tables?

Our restaurant referral program. Refer another restaurant with your code and we pay you $200 once they've been live for 30 days, and another $200 when they reach 75 completed bookings.
